The Lakins

We are from small, rival towns in Ohio where our younger brothers were best friends. Our families knew each other for a very long time but we never personally crossed paths until the summer of 2017. Travis was injured for his second season and was rehabbing with the Red Sox organization in Fort Myers when he visited my family's new home across the state in Jupiter, Florida. We flirted a bit night one and we were open to what could happen.

We committed to dating one another a week later, we were crazy in love after a month, we were married 4 months later, and we had our baby girl on the way 5 months later. On top of an already whirlwind start to a life together, we had the baseball lifestyle to collide with all of our new beginnings. Our journey has been amazing, yet trial-filled. Blessed, yet a tough learning experience. Durable, yet lost and confused at times. Patient, yet hateful and blind on occasion. Despite the continued waves of challenges our life brings, one change has made all the difference: an active application of the Lord's word to our decisions, our individual growth seasons, and our every-day living. We are making a conscious effort to move towards the promises we vowed on November 24th, 2017.

We are making an effort every day to be living this life TOGETHER AS ONE.

Our "team" mission is to continue to pray and learn, live and experience, so that one day we can give back and teach others the same way we are being taught. We want to inspire others not by being great, but by showing how great HE is.
